Source: The obituary is from a collection by Fauniel Hershberger, saved the 1950's, 60's and 70's. She was a life long resident of Fountain County Indiana.  The collection is now housed at Crawfordsville District Public Library.

Mac Sullivan, 403 Jefferson St., received word Saturday morning, Dec. 10, of the unexpected death of Dan P. Hughes, age 82, in Menomonie, Wis. His death was attributed to a heart attack. Mr. Hughes' first wife was the late Loyola McComas, who taught high school here and in Veedersburg, and was a cousin to Mr. Sullivan. Mr. Hughes was very well known in Menomonie as he taught in the college there and also was agricultural agent. Mr. Hughes visited here each summer with Mr. Sullivan. Survivors include his present wife, one son, Joseph, of Indianapolis, who is vice president of the Indiana Bell Telephone Company. Funeral services and burial were held Tuesday morning, Dec. 13, in Menomonie, Wis.  --typed by Walt W
